Democrats vow to fight Texas’ effort to rig elections

  • National Democrats are exploring options to stop Texas Republicans' plan for a rare mid-decade redistricting push. The White House pressured the state to redraw its maps to aid the party in retaining its slim House majority.

Another VRA case arrives in SCOTUS

  • Today, two tribal nations asked SCOTUS to pause a ruling that Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act cannot be enforced by lawsuits from private parties in Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. The filing says their petition for SCOTUS to review is forthcoming.

North Carolina-Trump DOJ voter purge plan is illegal, Democrats warn

  • The DNC blasted North Carolina’s State Board of Elections over its controversial plan to remove nearly 100,000 voters from the rolls unless they submit additional forms of ID, calling it a violation of federal law. The state said the plan “fully complies” with the law.

Mike Lindell said he regularly meets with Trump to talk election conspiracies

  • Conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell said on the Stern American podcast that he’s met with President Donald Trump to discuss plans to investigate the 2020 election and to get rid of electronic voting machines ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Michigan Supreme Court revives GOP poll worker lawsuit

  • The Michigan Republican Party and the RNC filed a lawsuit against Flint’s election board, alleging that it’s violating a state law requiring election boards to appoint an equal number of election inspectors, or poll workers, from each major political party. The plaintiffs claim there is a shortage of Republican poll workers in Flint.



  • The Michigan Supreme Court reversed a lower court ruling that had dismissed the case for lack of standing and determined that the Republican plaintiffs do have the right to challenge the partisan makeup of election inspectors. The case has been sent back to the trial court for further proceedings.

MAGA meltdown over Trump’s mishandling of Epstein files
